When deciding on a tagline that felt true to me and my brand of work, I chose to begin with the verb FORGING. To forge is to craft, to construct, to build, to intentionally create something with meaning and purpose.
To forge a magical moment is to work together with my clients to create a space for them to feel GOOD, HAPPY, CALM, FUN. Expect your session with Of the South to be very go with the flow. We chase the sun, incorporate lots of fun and flowy movements, laugh, hang out with each other, tell stories, admire the earth, feel alive and free, and create magical art from the moments we share. The end result is a gallery full of dreamy, artistic images that feel like YOUR story.

I try and keep my prices affordable while calculating in my time, equipment, experience, work, and all of the other factors that go into running a successful small business. I don't take my job lightly. And I definitely don't just show up a snap some pictures.
I approach every session and wedding with the mindset of creating something special, one-of-a-kind, meaningful, artistic, and intentional. I lead, guide, and direct you based on YOU... There's no -just running through the same ole list of poses- here. I do everything with intention and care.
I try and foster a space of comfort and joy for each of my clients. I strive to make you feel beautiful, seen, heard, adored, and happy. I want this experience to be more than just ~taking pictures~.
I come home from my sessions and weddings with a filled cup, a mind full of excitement for what I was able to experience and create with you, an sd card packed FULL of photos, a body covered in dirt or soaking wet, and a heart ready to deliver the most meaningful gallery that I possibly can. Editing is SO important to me. I cull through your photos carefully and deliver everything good- I don't hold back and I DON'T deliver an ugly photo of you. I take a detailed look at each photo and notice so many beautiful things about you that I can't help but share. I deliberately make corrections, crop with intention, and curate each photo in my signature warm, dreamy, vintage-inspired, creative style. I make sure to deliver my absolute best EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
I ask that you consider what YOUR wants and needs are when it comes to having your photos taken. Choose your photographer carefully. Make sure your ideas and dreams align with theirs.
